The Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) has frozen the family account of popular Nigeria singer, Davido.
According to Dele Momodu, the commission is yet to give a tangible reason for the their action, however, many observers are of the opinion that it may not be unconnected to the recent political activities going on in the country.
Senator Demola Adeleke (popularly called Dancing Senator) who is Davido’s uncle, is the PDP flag bearer for the governorship election in Osun State and the family is believed to be major sponsors of the nation’s top opposition political party.
Recently, Senator Adeleke had his request to have the West African Examination Council, WAEC release his result upheld by an Abuja High Court.
Davido on his part has decided to call off his tour of the United States of America so as to focus on his National Youth Service commitment to the country.
The family is yet to react to the development
