Adeleke is the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the coming Osun gubernatorial election. The Cable reports that a presidential source said Idris was ordered not to invite the senator until after the election. In a statement released by deputy commissioner of police, Jimoh Moshood, who is the spokesperson of the police on Wednesday, September 19, it was claimed that the senator and some other persons were involved in malpractice in 2017. The police ordered Adeleke and four other persons to report to the Force Headquarters in Abuja for arraignment to court. In a previous report by NAIJ.com, the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) confirmed that Senator Ademola Adeleke, the candidate of the PDP for September 22 governorship election in Osun state, sat for its examination in 1981.
